Offer and Be Amazed

“…He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looked up toward heaven. He blessed the food and breaking the loaves, He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces: twelve full baskets. Matthew 14:19-20 (NASB)

Whatever you have that you offer to God, He will take and do amazing things!

Who’s Your Coach?

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1

Stay focused. Be diligent. Let God be your Coach, and you will finish well.

Why the Storm?

… tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; Romans 5:3b-4 (NASB 1995)

God will allow struggles when He knows we need the knowledge and wisdom that comes from it.

Amazing!

By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3

Never doubt what God can do through you!

Designed for Purpose

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139:16-17 (NASB 1995)

You are a precious jewel in the hands of God. Never doubt your value! God has designed you like no one else, and He has a purpose only you can fulfill.

The God Factor

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” (Romans 8:31, NASB)

Factor God into life’s problems. He has all the solutions!

Evidence of Royalty

“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,” (Romans 8:16, NASB)

The struggle you experience to choose God’s way and reject the world’s way gives evidence of your royal identity.

Wrestling Match

“For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.” (Romans 8:5, NASB)

Every follower of Jesus Christ endures the wrestling match between sinful flesh and God’s indwelling Spirit. Whichever you train the most typically wins your next decision. Therefore, lift prayer and bench press the Word.

Who’s Speaking?

“But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interest, but man’s.” (Matthew 16:23, NASB)

Jesus was so familiar with His Father’s voice that He easily recognized Satan speaking even though the voice came from Peter. We, too, must become intimately familiar with our Lord’s voice that we readily identify the enemy’s voice even when it is coming from a friend.

As you and I read God’s Word and listen for His voice in prayer, our soul comes to know the tone and truth of our Savior’s words. Time spent listening to the Lord God can prevent you from spending time listening to lies.

Silence.

But the people were silent and answered him not a word, for the king’s commandment was, “Do not answer him.” (2 Kings 18:36, NASB 1995)

Sometimes remaining silent in the fact of mockery and threat is best especially when such ridicule is projected against righteousness. For sometimes, silence speaks louder and clearer than words.
